Laptop mouse pad not working

The track/touchpad on my HP Omen 17.3 gaming laptop has not worked properly since I bought it last August (2021). I needed a laptop for work and 17-inch laptops were scarce when I purchased it, so I was desperate and resorted to using a USB mouse at the time. The external mouse works perfectly.
