For example, I have a Shantae Funko Pop figure, and I decided to turn it into an amiibo by attaching a Mii Brawler amiibo NFC sticker to the bottom of its base, and then I selected a Shantae Mii Costume/Fighter I made in Smash as like the vessel for my custom Shantae amiibo!
